Job Description

An experienced (PreSales) Consultant is required to join the Siemens Digital Industry Software technical team to provide support to prospects and customers.   

You will provide technical presales support for Siemens Capital integrated electrical system development product line. As a PreSales Consultant, you will contribute to the success of a team of product specialists and account managers by increasing the deployment of Capital software.

This opportunity involves capturing customer needs and translating them into compelling product demonstrations that show the value of our powerful solutions for the automotive & aerospace markets. The role will also typically require willingness to travel on a regular basis (around 50%), mostly throughout Nordic regions, but also occasional travel within EMEA. So the ability to communicate effectively with multiple nationalities and cultures will stand you in good stead. The role will require the delivery of expertise in the application(s) of the Capital portfolio, in the form of PreSales support to customers anywhere in EMEA

What will my responsibilities be?

  • Becoming a Consultant Engineer specialising in Electrical Systems and Harness Design.

  • Understanding and contributing to the strategy of the Capital solution in different markets such as automotive, aerospace & industrial applications.

  • Assisting clients in the evaluation process, through to deployment and use of Capital for the design of electrical systems.

  • Helping Sales teams determine strategies by matching our software solutions to the customer's needs through your analysis.

  • Performing demonstrations of the solution and providing technical support to customers, through training and technical problem solving.

What qualifications, accreditations & knowledge is required of me?

  • A Degree/or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills at all levels, at all levels combined with the ability to recognise the need for sensitivity around customer needs.

  • Sales oriented self-starter with driver capabilities.

  • Strong ability to identify opportunities, suggest and follow-up on them.

  • Ability to speak more than one European language desirable

What experience will I bring?

  • Proven experience from within a related industry.

  • Experience with Electrical Design software, such as Capital, VeSys, Saber ES Designer, E3.series

  • Experience with Mechanical CAD products (preferably Siemens NX, CATIA V5, SolidEdge or Solidworks) but not essential

  • Experience of working within any of these sectors an advantage: Aerospace and Defence, Automotive and Transportation.

  • Demonstratable previous experience of strong focus on increased penetration and market share at targeted accounts
