Global Revenue Accounting Specialist
Ø Assist the Global Revenue Accounting team in defining policies and procedures related to contract review and approval and revenue recognition treatment
Ø Monitor completion of the quarterly Confirmation of Sales Terms (COST) process in order to address revenue recognition risks such as side agreements, channel stuffing, and cut-off
Ø Perform the SASP analysis as needed to ensure DISW has established a stand-alone selling price (SASP) for all performance obligations other than software
Ø Communicate any SASP compliance issues to the appropriate level of management and work with management to ensure an appropriate SASP compliance ratio is maintained
Ø Ensure a quarterly review of Fixed Fee Services loss projects is performed to ensure that losses have been accrued where appropriate and communicate findings to management
Ø Provide finance and accounting related input and direction to all organizations within the company regarding significant changes or initiatives such as new sales strategies or business models
Ø Assist the Global Revenue Accounting team in creating educational material and presenting trainings to the field to promote awareness of revenue recognition rules, policies, and procedures
Ø Engage with Global Sales & Services early in the sales cycle to ensure revenue recognition objectives are achieved
Ø Support the review of large deals to ensure accounting treatment is appropriate and consistent with accounting policies
Ø Conduct a quarterly random sample review of small deals in order to ensure appropriate accounting treatment is applied by the Zones
Ø Support external audit activities during quarterly reviews and year-end audits
Ø Align actions with DISW Zone Organizations and Revenue Accounting Management
Overall Required Skillset:
§ In depth knowledge of IFRS 15 and ASC 606
§ Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
§ High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills
§ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
§ Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
§ Ability to multi-task and manage projects simultaneously
§ Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing demands and priorities
§ Business fluent English
Education and Experience Requirement:
§ Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
§ Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
§ Software industry experience preferred
