Job Description

GECC is the regional competency center of Siemens, Building Technologies, providing various technical support services to our branches in the region Middle East and Asia Pacific.
We also part of our offerings, provide bid support services to branches in the region.
We are looking Engineering graduates (Mechanical/ Electrical/Electronics) with 8-10 years of experience in bid support management for Building Automation System, Safety and security systems (Fire Alarm, Access control and CCTV).
Responsibilities
Lead a team of estimation engineers in managing bid supports in response to request for proposals from BT branches in the region.
He /She shall proactively work with the team in creating solution architecture, quantity takeoffs, identify discrepancies within the tender documents, technical compliance statement and recommend optimization possibilities etc..
Ensure constant communication between the BT branch and the bid support team in Chennai for smooth running of the bid preparation, meeting deadlines and proposal submissions at all times.
He/ She will actively peruse to improve the processes involved in the bid preparation.
The role will also involve overseeing all quality, technical and commercial aspects in accordance with company procedures, developing “best practice” systems and processes and implementing them.
Provide leadership and coaching for the team to overcome the shortcomings, proactive in prioritising own work load and assigned areas of responsibility to others.
Skills and Qualifications
Understanding and hands on experience of preliminary and detailed Engineering to qualify, identify and quantify Building Automation tenders.
Experience with HVAC systems, building controls, lighting and electrical Systems will be an added advantage.
 
He /She shall have working knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint, Visio, Project and Outlook) 
 
Experience in a similar position advantageous and any overseas experience will be beneficial.
He /She shall have 
• Strong time-management and organizational skills 
• Ability to coordinate several tasks at the same time
• Good written English and technical writing experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
