Here at Siemens Turbine Generator Specialty Services located in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania we perform major repairs, upgrades, maintenance and inspections on turbines and generators. We are looking for a Seasonal Field Machinist to perform machining operations on turbine & generator equipment at our power generation stations located both in the United States and abroad. If selected for the role you will be traveling 75% of the time or more.

What do you need to qualify for this role?
2 yr Diploma or Certificate in Machining Technology at a technical/trade school or apprentice program OR High School diploma or GED with a minimum of five(5) years of direct work experience.
Must have valid driver’s license.
Ability to use all types of precision measuring tools.
Skilled at set-up & operation of lathes, milling, boring, grinding, and drilling machines.
Must live within 60 miles of our Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania facility (or willing to relocate).
Qualified candidates must be able to pass an extended background check to obtain un-escorted nuclear plant access (to include drug screen and extensive background investigation).
Ability and willingness to work a high percentage of overtime (including 12-hour shifts)
Ability and willingness to work various shifts arrangements
Ability and willingness to lift 50 pounds required.
Flexibility and willingness for HEAVY TRAVEL (75% or more) all business travel expenses are paid. Ability to travel on short notice.
Able to obtain a passport to support our customers that are abroad.
What other skills or experience will be helpful for this role?
Basic PC/Laptop skills for using our timekeeping and expense systems, as well as email usage.
Knowledge of CNC operation and programming desired.
