An opportunity like no other

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Sales and Services, as the Senior Vice President for APAC, you will have overall P&L responsibility, with country managers and functional leaders as your direct reports. You will be accountable for our APAC strategy, with a keen focus on our financial success and stability, driving our performance in the fastest growing region of our company. The role required you to build and implement the strategy for the entire region, guided by our overall company commercial and strategic objectives, but you are the one with the true vision for Asia Pacific, and the impact to deliver it.

Our Asia Pacific region consists of 12 countries, and is a dynamic and fast-growing region, with functions including sales, pre-sales, portfolio development and services in its remit, as well as enabling functions. Leading a region like this means you are at the sharp end – there’s accountability for a sizeable revenue target and full responsibility for resources, which includes the region’s operating budget, and more than 1600 people.

The foundations for your success

You’ll bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained from operating in the region – a deep understanding the Asia Pacific zone will be a critical foundation for success in this role. Your background will ideally include industrial software, but other software or IT industry experience might also be valuable, with the knowledge that comes from time spent with major accounts in the industry, and building relationships based on commercial roles.

You’ve already shown yourself as a successful strategist, with a track record of successful delivery at the highest level. The role someone with the credibility and expertise to drive our business successfully, mindful of stability, but able to seize on opportunity an ambitious entrepreneurial attitude. You’ll be comfortable with sizeable P&L accountability and be able to demonstrate how you’ve built and delivered plans to grow and sustain success.

As a leader, your preference is for influencing and collaborating. You know how to get things done, but you bring a positive influence on relationships at all levels, and the ability to lead with authenticity and integrity in a diverse and multicultural environment. We care a great deal about the way in which results are achieved, so you will need a true ability to build, champion and sustain high performing organisations in a complex and dynamic environment. We are looking for someone who is very comfortable in their interpersonal skills, with the flexibility of style to deliver impactful presentations at the C-suite level one day and have a one to one mentoring conversation with someone in your organisation the next. You’re empathetic and open minded, but you have a drive to influence for performance, and you cultivate the kind of environment where trust and accountability go hand in hand.
