Sr Financial Analyst

Job Description

You will support the Support Function Controlling activities for Support Functions at Siemens Corporation along with project / controlling and reporting opportunities. This includes discussions of financial analysis, including cost recovery, budgeting, cost analysis and financial and expense performance comparisons. Drives accurate financial reporting, charging, ad-hoc reporting, etc. Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge of the various modalities, while developing strategies with complex models and pursuing cost efficient opportunities. The ideal candidate has Financial Analyst experience in Support Functions and/or Performance / Project controlling.

Responsibilities

Understands and implements the Financial Reporting Guidelines to ensure the highest level of accuracy and compliance for Siemens Corp Support Functions.

Partners with Function Owners (local, global) to ensure financial targets are met.

Identifies potential financial issues, “trouble-shoot” and implement solutions.

Ensures compliance to internal and external policies and procedures i.e. RIC, ICC requirements, Four-Eye.

Principle as well as monitor and implement all related Purchase to Pay (P2P) activities of the Support Functions.

Defines and provides financial support processes to ensure clear Accounting & Controlling oversight, roles and responsibilities alignment.

Meets regularly with senior departmental & financial management and other meaningful parties to ensure fiscal budget compliance and to identify potential savings. Ensures transparent tracking of financial targets (KPI’s) and cost allocation methodologies.

Financial liaison for analyzing, reporting and presenting financial forecasts/results to management and Siemens AG as required.

Drives growth with Global Business Services Report to management while implementing synergies and efficiencies.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrates knowledge of organizational business practices and issues.
  • Competence in Finance, Accounting and Operational Business Performance measurements.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Expert technical computer skills in MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint) and SAP.
  • Takes initiative, challenges the “status-quo” and is proactive.
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance/accounting required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of successful experience in a directly related finance or business performance field required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deal optimally with vendors, employees and management.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Adaptable in an ever changing fast paced environment.
