Position Job Description:
Support multiple vendors located in NA and Far East on all DFM process quality related issues and questions Support metal shops sheet metal die-cast and extrusion in all issues and questions related to the mechanical design and production NPI and legacy product transition from Development to Manufacturing Sales and Support Must demonstrate program management skills working in production and supplier manufacturing environment according to ISO9000 documentation standards Responsible new vendor qualification new parts process development Travel to vendors sites to work with vendors for any NPI projects parts process development quality related issues deliver expeditions as required Continuous Process Improvement DFM activities PPAP PFMEA SPC any Manufacturability Design related activities for Manufacturing and Defect Reduction Establishes proficient manufacturing processes at the vendors sites to ensure on time shipments of products parts to meet Prototype Pilot and Production standards Review and approve Quality Plan process documents ISIRs at vendor sites Work with RD to provide feedback on DFM TQ and participate in design reviews Tools fixtures management Support RMACAR process and analyze drive continuous improvement projects based on outgoing quality metrics during Prototype Pre-production and mass production phases Work on defect reduction process improvements and quality assurance projects as part of new product/part release to production or transfer to the new vendors Create and review product assembly documentation quality plan and other engineering documents Work on new product process development and maintain new products release documentations
Bachelor degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience Minimum 10 years experience in metal manufacturing industry In depth knowledge of manufacturing processes including metal fabrication for sheet metal die cast extrusion plastic cables and box build assembly In-depth knowledge of multiple metal fabrication and manufacturing process In-depth knowledge of metal tool/mold/fixture/jig designs and fabrications Strong written and verbal communication both in English and Chinese Must be self-motivated and be able to work in a team environment Ability to create influential relationships with multiple vendors Must have professional attitude and willing to travel JIT and Lean manufacturing knowledge is an asset Six Sigma working knowledge ERP Enterprise resource planning and MRP Material Requirements Planning systems knowledge Start challenging yourself today in an environment that rewards innovation with competitive pay, top benefits and a global network offering opportunity for growth and advancement.
