Siemens Digital Industries Software seek a full time, experienced Financial Manager to take responsible for all UK business entity financial and statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with UK Laws and Siemens guidelines on a daily basis, manage all Audit, Tax and Treasury topics. The primary targets are to drive efficiency, consistency and accuracy in the maintenance of appropriate books and records.
This opportunity will work closely with Finance teams across the EMEA region, and globally within Siemens Industry Software and the wider Siemens group. It will see regular interactions with Senior Management and Sales within each Business Unit, SFS and other Siemens Regional Company departments as well as customers and suppliers.
Responsibilities will include:
Statutory / General ledger – manage team to ensure preparation of journal entries, accuracy of balances and maintain appropriate monthly closing procedure (reconciliations / schedules).
Treasury – bank account reconciliations, currency hedging.
Support entity mergers and lead on liquidations of shell entities.
A/R – DSO and bad debt reporting.
Business reporting and analysis (Essbase, BW, etc) – including performance dashboards and Board Pack
Support monthly Forecast / Annual budgeting process
Manage Inter-company (ICC) position and reconciliation process
Primary ICC contact (Tax, Accounting, Treasury, Real Estate, Shared Services, Insurance)
Proactive cost and margin management (incl. high cost reporting)
Sales commission reconciliation.
Drive efficiencies, consistency and collaboration across the EMEA Zone Finance / Business teams
Ensure all Compliance policies and monthly closing processes are adhered to.
Lead EY / Internal Audits as necessary
Various ad-hoc duties as and when required
Travel required for team meetings, business reviews, advised at 5%
Relevant accounting qualifications & post qualified experience
Excellent knowledge of Local Accounting, Tax laws & IFRS
Microsoft Office skills are essential, especially advanced use of Excel
Ideally Software / Siemens working experience - including IFRS and SOP 97-2 revenue recognition
Experience of a rigid compliance & SOX based approach
SAP primary system knowledge
Experience of Hyperion/Essbase type reporting systems
