As the Development PLC Engineer, you will be responsible for the program, commission and support of the Service 4.0 activities inside the Siemens Logistics project as well as responsible for the development of predictive maintenance applications in the domain of logistic automation.
Working closely with sales manager, product manager, program/project manager, HW/SW architects and site teams, you’ll clarify and define requirements as well as collaborate in the elaboration of proposals.

  • Define, develop, enhance and document a platform strategy and dedicated platform modules that enable a systematic roll out of this technology. This includes a holistic design from the field to the cloud level for all mechanical, electrical and software subsystems.

  • Customization and implementation for dedicated customer specific applications and support the test and validation phases.

  • Design and implementation of standard interfaces in order to integrate our solutions easily in the diverse IT- landscapes of our customers.

  • Research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility.

  • Work in a team with an agile development approach to integrate and fulfil all internal and customer expectations and availability to travel (national and internationally) to support other project when required.


What you need to make real what matters.

  • Preferably a master’s degree or equivalent qualification or experience in system engineering or mechatronics (or enough experience on the field)

  • Industrial Automation experience in the field of Siemens PLC programming and commissioning.

  • Knowledge in the field of IoT, including sensors, industrial communication, networks, control systems, IT-interfaces and cloud based IoT platforms.

  • Experience in software development

  • Experience in electrical and mechanical design and related tools (EPLAN, AUTOCAD…)
