Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. is one of the largest global suppliers of healthcare equipment, renowned for innovative products, services and solutions including diagnostic imaging systems, therapy equipment for treatment and electro-medicine and IT solutions to optimize workflow and increase efficiency in the healthcare industry.
We are working on novel technologies to develop next generation quantitative multimodal SPECT.
We are seeking an experienced scientist with excellent academic background to develop algorithms for tomographic image reconstruction, image analysis and deep learning.
You will work in a multi-disciplinary team and have access to luminary clinical researchers worldwide, and you should have a passion to understand and address clinical needs in this field. You should be comfortable to take on large and complex problems as an individual contributor or as part of a larger team. In this role you will contribute or lead research efforts to support next generation image formation concepts using your ability to develop algorithms, handle large computational problems and rapidly implement prototypes. Your excellent communication skills and expertise will also allow you to provide technical support to service and marketing teams in addressing customer complaints and inquiries, and you will successfully collaborate with luminary clinical sites worldwide to test and validate new technologies.
· Ph.D. in an area of computational sciences and deep knowledge of the physics image formation
· > 5 years’ experience
· Desired areas of expertise
o Iterative reconstruction of inverse problems,
o Image and Data processing,
o Machine learning
· Demonstrated strong analytical and data analysis skills
· Demonstrated ability of prototype development
· Ability to communicate with both scientists and non-scientists is essential
