The Social Media Manager will support the design, implementation, and measurement of social media and digital strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives. Contribute to the editorial process to improve the impact and value of digital content across Siemens social channels. Provides leadership and support for all aspects of social program from planning and content development to implementation, engagement and reporting and metrics.
-In a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment, supports the social strategy and development of content and creative for social media and digital platforms ensuring high level of consistency, accuracy and quality presentation.
-Support an active presence across social and external digital channels and provides assistance in writing and editing content for Siemens USA channels.
-Help to maintain an integrated editorial calendar for social media and digital channels in alignment with key business objectives and CC (Corporate Communications) activities.
-Serves as project lead to manage social listening and external influencer engagement across social channels. The primary contributor to content curation and amplification tool to support social media growth across Siemens’ U.S. leadership.
-Coordinate with CC functions and external agencies to support paid social media program.
-Performs research and monitoring to obtain knowledge of relevant national policy and industry-specific issues related to Siemens’ business to proactively identify emerging issues and help in the development of social media strategies and content.
-Measure and report social media activities and results achieved on a regular basis providing metric-based strategic recommendations for improvement to evolve and improve the social and digital program measurable success.
-Collaborate with Siemens AG, CC and division counterparts and outside agency partners to develop fully integrated social media communications programs that will deliver key business topics with relevant, engaging content.
-Provide support for the broader communications team on projects as needed, with an eye for social and multi-media opportunities.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills and Proficiencies Required:
-5+ years of corporate communications experience with a minimum of 3 years working directly with successful social media programs (multiple channels preferred).
-Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study.
-Demonstrated success with social listening, influencer identification and engagement, content and creative development. Effective writer with ability to create engaging and succinct copy. Ability to create or edit social media visual assets a plus.
-Strong experience with social metric analysis to report on programs, interpreting and using analytics to influence the ongoing evolution of social channels and strategy.
-Strong social technical skill-set with experience using Hootsuite and/or Brandwatch or similar social channel management platform, and social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
-Proficient use of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other PC based tools used to create, modify or distribute information.
-Experience with agency management and coordination in support of paid social media campaigns preferred.
-Strong problem solving skills, with ability to trouble shoot and proactively seek and recommend solutions.
-The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment as part of a collaborative team.
