Job Description:

Siemens Rail Automation is expanding its team and we’re looking for a mid-level Financial Analyst to work with our Plant Controller, Plant Manager, and the Operations Staff in our Marion, KY, Louisville, KY or Pittsburgh, PA facilities.  Here, you’ll be partnering with all plant staff and the Controller to drive the financial performance to the appropriate targets as identified in the Annual Operating Plan and forecasts. The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing background covering the full financial spectrum and will have been exposed to fast paced changes in production that can ultimately impact financial decisions.
More responsibilities for this position will include:

-Leads site accounting activities including developing accounting processes consistent with Siemens business, deploying standard processes, ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies and ensuring appropriate standards of internal control exist and are followed.
-Ensures the site is compliant with IFRS, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and Statutory accounting requirements.

-Drives initiatives in Finance/Accounting relating to the following areas:
• Preparation of MMF OP Sales Forecast/ Variance Analysis/ Variance Explanations 
• Preparation of MMF OP Margin Analysis
• Cost Roll
• Planning and Forecasting
• Month End Reporting and closing activities
• Supporting the Budgeting process
• Operating Plan Procurement analysis
• Operating Plan In-bound/Out-bound financial analysis
• Inventory Control and Obsolete Inventory Analysis
• Timely and accurate preparation of the relevant Plant KPI’s
• Ensures all financial reporting is completed accurately and timely.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Education:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting; CPA, CMA or MBA a plus
5-8 years of Cost Accounting to include forecasting, budgeting, and month end reporting
Strong experience with SAP
Excellent organizational, analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools - primarily Excel
