Job Description:

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a team in the early stages of some exciting new technology deployments.  Siemens is leading the charge in providing innovative solutions to bolster the manufacturing renaissance in the US.
Position Overview
Siemens Industry – Digital Factory: The Motion Control business unit has a software developer position open.   The developer will produce object oriented software for use on multiple motion control platforms.   
This position requires development of C++ applications for multi-platform deployment.  The software applications are in the field of computer controlled machinery.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Requires object oriented software design and development skills.  Strong skills in computer science and experience with modern software development methodologies and practice are a must.  Ability to work in a team environment while simultaneously able to independently conceive and implement functionality to solve complex problems is expected.
A degree in computer science or computer engineering with 2-5 years’ experience in C++ programming is required.
Degrees in other engineering disciplines (e.g. Mechanical or Electrical engineering) will be considered when combined with specific experience developing product quality software.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Other skills considered beneficial, but not required;
Mathematics, Matlab, C#, C++/CLI, scripting, machine learning, dynamic systems theory, and closed loop control.
