The Vision Technology and Solutions group within Siemens Corporate Technology in Princeton, NJ has immediate openings for internships in computer vision and perception. We address a wide variety of computer vision and perception problems and have a strong publication record in leading journals and conferences. You will have an opportunity to test and expand your knowledge with a focus on innovation and real-world applications. Our Princeton facility is recognized for providing a stimulating environment for highly talented and self-motivated researchers. We offer flat hierarchies and foster teams with a mix of junior and senior experts.

What are typical intern responsibilities?
• Contribute to research projects that develop a variety of algorithms and systems in computer vision, image and video analysis (including publications).
• Apply image and video analysis techniques to large-scale, real-world problems.
• The latest and greatest in deep learning for perception (several of our technologies are arriving in Siemens’ products), make it work in practice.
• Work in a team of junior and senior experts.

What are good qualifications for this internship?
• A current PhD student in Engineering or Mathematics
• Prior experience in computer vision, machine/deep learning, or related fields 
• Hands-on coding skills and ability to quickly prototype in C++. Further experience in scripting languages such as Python is a plus.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English is required
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a growing, dynamic team
