Position Overview

This position requires expert PLC control system knowledge for troubleshooting complex process equipment used in reagent formulation processes.


Position require supporting technical issues which may occur during off shift/weekend operations.



  • Must be capable of troubleshooting complex automated process equipment and control systems.
  • Have a strong understanding or PLC driven control systems and be capable of interpreting ladder logic programs. This individual must demonstrate leading-edge or extensive knowledge in controls and automation. Generally, 8+ years of successful experience as an electrical controls and automation technician.
  • Experience working with Powerflex drives, ControlNet and DeviceNet components.
  • Capable of supporting hardware/control system upgrades and leading contractor activities.
  • Performing updates to procedures and engineering specific documents.
  • Ability to source technical information when not readily available.
  • This position requires the ability to effectively communicate within the Engineering organization and be able to provide expert level training in the areas of electronic controls and electrical safety. 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Must be able to follow written procedures and safety practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and good documentation practices.
  • Associates degree or vocational technical training preferred. HS diploma or equivalent required.      


    Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
  • Experience working in Biotech or Pharmaceutical environment.
  • MA electrician certification desired.
