Job Description:

Siemens Rail Automation is expanding and seeking to hire a Business Development Manager to support our Freight & Products business.  In this role, you will be responsible for driving the sales and marketing efforts around F&P‘s emerging digitalization and connectivity solutions. This new role requires a forward-thinking approach to deliver an advanced suite of technology services by developing and implementing new sales/business models in our effort to establish this new business.  


You will work independently yet closely with regional units to understand and communicate market conditions and customer requirements.  Additionally, you will work hand-in-hand with Product Lifecycle Management and Marketing to develop sales collateral/USP/whitepapers.



-Collaborate with the Center of Excellence (CoE) and Marketing team to develop collateral and sales enablement tools

-Meet with Regional Units (RU) and potential customers to understand needs in the digitalization and connectivity space

-Communicate market requirements and competitive trends to CoE and R&D 

-Develop new sales strategies, unique selling propositions, and business models and drive with RU's

-Establish and foster customer leads both directly and through the Regional Units

-Serve as the sales ambassador for Digitalization and Connectivity within Mobility Management


Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

-BA in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science

-Proven track record in developing new business models

-Experience in sales with a disciplined sales approach (CRM)

-Comfortable working in a fast changing market

-Strong analytical, communication, presentation, negotiation, and organization skills

-Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, and international teams

-Change management, Innovative, and Strategic Thinking Capability
