Job Description:

Position Overview


Siemens is seeking a Site Supervisor for Technical Services who will be responsible for the successful execution of an electronic security system (ESS) managed services project for a U.S. Government customer at Cape Canaveral, Florida.


The position will comprise a mix of managed services and new installation work related to electronic locking hardware, CCTV, alarm panels, and other various electronic security equipment in support of a long term and progressive government customer.



  • Supervise and assist ESS technicians in performing periodic preventive maintenance to ensure any issues are detected early and resolved before the equipment fails.
  • Perform quality control functions related to the maintenance of Access Control, and Intrusion Detection equipment such as CCTV cameras, card readers, key pads, magnetic locks, BMS, proximity sensors, DVRs, and UPS connected to a central monitoring station.
  • Perform root cause analysis of ESS equipment malfunctions and fiber connections while striving for continuous improvement and making recommendations to customer.
  • Respond to or review corrective maintenance requests to determine the need for repair.
  • Prepare corrective maintenance service orders, work statements, cost estimates and price proposals for submission to customer.
  • Perform project management of corrective maintenance service orders to include responsibility for the cost, schedule, quality, permitting, ordering of supplies, and the direction of employees and/or subcontractors.
  • Provide monthly updates to SGT management and government customers on work performed, plans, budget, maintenance scheduling, project financials, staffing forecasts and overall project status.
  • Define project goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify future and current technical expertise needed in collaboration with business users and stakeholders.
  • Train junior ESS maintenance personnel on the proper methodologies and procedures to maintain ESS equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions.
  • Manage a team of ESS field service technicians for current service project and hire additional resources as required.
  • Administer the technician opportunity referral program for this project.


  • Current Secret or L Clearance.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated Leadership competencies.
  • Five or more (5+) years’ experience in Access Control and Intrusion Detection installation and maintenance
  • Ability to coach and lead technicians to optimize performance.
  • Effectively communicate with customers and senior management.
  • Operator or installation certification for Vindicator and/or CCure systems
  • Experience and training in the basics of circuitry and electronics, basic wiring connections, fiber optic cabling and connections, CCTV, CAT5 & CAT3 cabling runs and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with US Federal Government projects, contracts, policies and procedures.

  • Experience in identifying and implementing cost savings measures within services projects.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, building drawings and technical descriptions.

  • Ability to effectively communicate progress, status and issues to internal and external customers.

  • Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing.

  • Individual must be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree from a two year college or technical school
  • Training in basics of electronics and circuitry either in technical school or certifications received during training classes from industry vendors
  • Prefer eight or more (8+) years’ of demonstrable experience in Access Control and Intrusion Detection installation and maintenance
  • Additional certifications as an installer of other equipment from Bosch, Kaba Mas, Pelco, SW Microwave, etc.
