Do you enjoy solutions-based selling direct to end users ? Looking for a "make your mark" position within the power distribution market segment? The industrial business developer role is responsible for the sale of low voltage power equipment to the industrial sales channel. Their focus is to work with the industrial sales team & directly with end users to help specify, design, & close the sale of complex power distribution systems. The role reports directly to the director of business development & is intended to work nationwide on target vertical sales segments.
Primary goal is the increase of sales within the industrial channel by focusing on specific sales targets within vertical sales segments that line up with our value proposition
•Creation of a national sales strategy in conjunction with the totally integrated power team & the business development team
•Assembly & communication of a pipeline of opportunities & how those opportunities tie together with the national sales strategy
•Assigned direct end user corporate engineering support
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
This position is considered highly technical and requires someone comfortable in unfamiliar surroundings. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to garner credibility & trust at a customer in a short amount of time while dealing with many different personalities from within & outside of Siemens.
•Electrical engineering degree preferred
•Minimum of 10 years in the industry focusing specifically on low & medium voltage power distribution
•Direct work with customers including contractors, consultants, engineers, & corporate level contacts (purchasing, etc...)
•Working knowledge of industry common protocols (profi-bus, etc..) a plus
•Travel requirements are 50%+
Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing.
Individual must be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.
