Position Overview

  

Siemens Mobility is seeking a technical service manager in our Light Rail Business Group in beautiful Atlanta Georgia to lead a key project and act as the single point of contact for our valued customer. In this role, you will be fully integrated in the internal Mobility Customer Services Organization and will be a strong voice in our efforts to grow our business.

     

 

 Responsibilities

 

  §   Ensuring overall customer satisfaction

 

 

§   Assistance in technical troubleshooting and provide coaching to Customer’s Streetcar’s electro-mechanics

 

 

§   Liaison to Siemens Customer Services

 

 

§   Support Customer’s refurbishment, modernization and repair plans

 

 

§   Driving the implementation for improvement

 

 

§   Support for general questions and best practice sharing

 

 

§   Limited hands on training for all maintenance relevant aspects

 

 

§   Ad-hoc small group training sessions, for special topics as they arise.

 

 

§   Troubleshooting support for difficult technical issues

 

 

§   Recommend measures to improve reliability and optimized maintenance practices.

 

 

§   Involvement on other subject matter experts as needed

 

 

  

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

 

 

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field preferred, although experience combined with education will also be considered

 

 

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

 

 

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in Light Rail Vehicles, ideally in Siemens S70 LRVs. Experience could be based on LRV Maintenance, Manufacturing, Testing, Commissioning, or Warranty work. 

 

 

§   At least 3-5 years directly related experience within the light rail industry

 

 

§   Must have the ability to read and interpret basic electrical and mechanical drawings

 

 

§   Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience

 

 

§   Strong written and verbal communication skills

 

 

§   Great customer interaction skills
