Job Description:

Position Overview:
The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for proactive collaboration with customer and key internal business partners.  Manages all facets of Payroll in the U.S. that pertains to payroll processing and thorough understanding of pay practices for all businesses supported.  This role requires independent thinking and actions in handling the payroll analysis and validations.  Solid knowledge of state legal requirements, pay regulations, overtime compliance.  Determine process improvement actions, develop plans and implement those actions end to end. Ensure quality measurements are implemented and maintained. Works as a team player and maintains a positive and productive work environment. Leads a small team of payroll professionals.
 
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the processing, review and validation of payroll for the multiple Siemens Operating Companies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
·       Responsible for payroll processing including file loads, calculations, balancing, audits and validations
·       Responsible for analysis and validation of payroll processing results using technology
·       Assist with complex payroll specific transactions and troubleshoot payroll processing issues
·       Perform audits to ensure all established controls are being followed
·       Reviews and analyze KPI-s, reports and metrics
·       Root cause analysis and constructive and preventative actions using CAPA-s
·       Analyze and provide data to support internal and external audits
·       Develop and ensure internal controls and processes are being followed
·       Effectively identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to resolve
·       Support transitions in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
·       Maintain a central repository of payroll knowledge
·       Assist in the review of current payroll processes to identify areas of process improvements and standardization
·       Promote  and implement cross function knowledge share and increase efficiency of processes
·       Develops and maintains training materials for the Payroll Operations team
·       Responsible for performance management of direct reports
·       Ensure Customer Service expectations are exceeded in the services provided
·       Respond to complex payroll related inquiries from customers or employees
·       Communicate effectively with various levels of management to ensure high level of customer support and positive customer interactions.
·       Maintain compliance with all payroll related regulatory and Siemens requirements including effective internal controls

Required Knowledge/Skills Education and Experience:
·       Bachelor’s degree required
·       CPP/FPC certification a plus
·       5+ years of experience in payroll related responsibilities
·       Minimum 3 years managing a payroll team
·       Solid payroll knowledge in a multi-state environment
·       Solid knowledge of payroll laws and legislation
·       Understanding of payroll processing within a shared services environment
·       Solid time management skills, ability to prioritize assignments in a dynamic work environment
·       Proficient computer, organizational, analytical, research and problem solving skills
·       Advanced Excel level, proficient with all Office applications
·       Complete self-initiated training necessary to remain current on payroll practices relevant to the Siemens Operating Company supported
·       Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud or ERP systems highly preferred
·       Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to learn new things
