Job Description:

Project Manager 3: Control System Improvement
 
Position overview:
 
The Project Manager for the Control System Improvement team is responsible for leading, planning, scheduling, tracking and monitoring the team projects.  As a core team member he or she will also work closely with other supporting organizations in order to successfully implement improved standardization and control system methods and materials to ensure timelines and goals are achieved.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Represent the Control System Improvement team when scheduling/planning activities with other organizations
  • Form and lead teams as required to achieve team goals and activities
  • Schedule and lead meetings to coordinate project activities
  • Create project schedules, meeting minutes, presentations and visual communications
  • Organize reviews for protocols, reports, pFMEAs; Ensure deliverables are tracked/measured and reported on
  • Schedule and monitor materials being made/filled/labelled by other organizations
  • Identify needed decisions and provide support to drive the decision making process
  • Manage and delegate tasks to assigned resources to ensure high quality, on-time completion of project deliverables
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
 
  • BS in a scientific discipline
  • Eight to ten years’ industry experience in a regulated environment 
  • Mid/High level project management skills with focus on running cross-functional project teams
  • Working knowledge of design control, change control, stage gate processes   
  • Ability to function in a changing, high-impact position, with deadline and resource constraints
  • Capacity to achieve outcomes based on ability to facilitate and negotiate desired results
  • Demonstrated effective written and oral communications skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to develop effective relationships with all levels of organization
  • Strong analytical skills to assess situations and drive decision making
  • Ability to coordinate across disciplines and integrate all aspects of business as they impact development projects including negotiation of scope, roles and responsibilities, specifications, timelines, and resources up, across, and down organization
  • Occasional travel required

  • Ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts, advocate for the team at all levels of the organization 
  • Leadership skills and ability to motivate a team without direct line authority
