Job Description:

We are seeking a Full-Stack PHP/WordPress Developer with at least three years of experience in building and supporting web-based applications to join our agile team building our Solid Edge marketing Wordpress site.  If you have a diverse set of skills in full-stack web application development and enjoy working in a fast-paced agile environment where craftsmanship matters, we’d loveto talk to you. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in the scrum development team as a developer doing full-stack PHP and Java-based web

  development

• Work with peers to analyze technical designoptions and implement solutions thatare efficient, scalable 

  and meet the acceptance criteria

• Ensure software developed adheres to best practices and quality standards through code and design

  reviews •Write quality documentation at both the code and business level

• Collaborate with non-technical sponsors and stakeholders to understand their requirements, analyze

  potential solutions, and translate requirements into solid designs

• Develop, test, deploy and maintain scalable web applications

• Support and enhance Solid Edge site

 

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years of experience of highly developed skills in HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Java web application

  development 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Demonstrated problem solving skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines, roles, and geographical and time zone boundaries

• Passion for software craftsmanship 

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery

• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications

• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites

• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.

• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms

  and browsers

• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages

• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)

•  Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial)

• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development

• Highly developed skills in jQuery

• Experience with AngularJS

• Experience with JSON

• Familiarity with responsive web design

• Familiarity with Elasticsearch

• Familiarity with Git

• Familiarity with JIRA

• Familiarity with WPEngine

• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTPS, SMTP, SSH)

• Familiarity with Akamai or other content delivery networks

• Familiarity with Oracle Eloqua Marketing Automation system

• Familiarity working with Windows and Linux servers
