Job Description:

Position Overview

Siemens offers a comprehensive portfolio of seamlessly integrated
software products to support full life-cycle digital design and
manufacturing.  This position contributes to the development of
MindSphere, a cloud based IOT platform and application suite.

You will be part of a highly innovative fast-paced development team,
incorporating and inventing emerging software technologies to deliver
amazing IOT products to the market.

Your primaryresponsibility will be to design, architect, and improve
the development tools and CICD pipeline for the MindSphere IOT Services
area.  This area consists of a group of Cloud-Based Backing Services in
the heart of the MindSphere IOT Platform.  As a high-performing senior
member of the organization working with Agile Scrum teams, you will be
expected to design, develop, test, and mentor.

The position reports to the MindSphere IOT Services Director of
Development

Responsibilities

• Scrum Master for 1-2 scrum teams
• Ensure the sprint goals, scope, and product domain are understood by
everyone on the Scrum Team
• Work with Product Owner and Team on story dependencies and ordering
to maximize value
• Facilitate all Scrum events
• Coach the Development Team in self-organization, cross-functionality,
and process
• Removing impediments to the Development Team’s progress
• Work with the team and the broader organization to continuously
improve productivity, process, and tools
• Champion a high-quality culture and ensure quality is monitored and
plans are in place to improve when necessary
• Champion an ownership culture which ensures high-availability of
services and happy customers
• Promote innovation in both product and process

 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree – Computer Science, Engineering, or other
supplemented with real world programming experience
• Software Development Experience – 7+ years
• Backend Java Cloud microservices (Spring) Development Experience – 2+
years
• Experience with DevOps CICD approaches and deployment tools
• Agile Scrum Process and SCM tools Experience – 3+ years
• Certified Scrum Master, with experience asa Scrum Master 1+ year
• Able to fill-in intentional gaps in Scrum and distinguish Scrum from
not-Scrum
• Able to foster, facilitate, and servant-lead a team environment
• Self-Directed,High Energy

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• Experience building solutions on AWS platform
• Experience working with database technology (SQL and noSQL)
• Experience with TDD and excellent understanding of automated testing
approaches
• Experience in IOT and big data & analytics
• Experience in Manufacturing or Energy domains
• Experience with Open Source or Inner Source techniques
• Passionate about Scrum and making people productive
