Job Description:

Siemens Industry is looking for a financial analyst.  This role will be a key contributor to a Business Unit controlling group within Industrial Services. The role calls for participation in all facets and functions of the group including: budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, database maintenance and ad-hoc projects and reports. An emphasis will be placed on analysis and process improvements

Specific responsibilities include the following:
• Maintenance and expansion of the Hyperion Financial reporting system
• Creation of reports and graphs detailing various KPIs

• Develop effective tools for to support the finance controllers internal to the BU
• Perform historical and/or trend analysis on key business components (volume, SG&A, cash flow, headcount, etc)
• Perform ad hoc analysis/work on project teams as required, including topics outside of traditional performance controlling
• Interaction with other groups, including order management, project management, procurement, other BU financial analysts, divisional performance controlling, HQ management in Germany, sales division, field service

The successful candidate will have a background with experience in budgeting/forecasting, monthly close activities, and various types of financial analysis (preferably 2-5 years or comparable aptitude). Ability to learn quickly will allow the candidate to impact the business and gain valuable access/visibility to upper management through presentations and best practice sharing.
Specific Skills Required:
         BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
         Demonstrates a good grasp of knowledge and principles of field of specialization and applies through successful completion of assignments.
         Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, VBA, Power Point, ThinkCell, and Access
         Travel expected 10%
         Strong analytical skills
         Ability to learn quickly
         Communication skills (including both written and oral)
