Job Description:

Position Overview

Siemens is looking for a Project Manager with a strong foot print in mechanical design as well as tooling. This person is responsible for managing small to mid-size projects in the automotive industry in regard to process equipment and conveyor systems.

 

Responsibilities

·         Handling projects with emphasis on the overall management of the project

·         Understanding of technical basics (based on drawings, functional description) of the machinery and guiding the project based on this

·         Guiding a team of designer, mechanics and commissioners to achieve the project target

·         Communication with stakeholders (customer, team member),

·         Supplier selection based on requirements (Scope, time, cost, terms of delivery, intervace)

·         Contract Management with suppliers (Scope, time, cost, terms of delivery, intervace)

·         Schedule planning including close tracking of deliveries

·         Design reviews with customer based on request details

·         Specification of detailed scope together with customer as well as team

·         Cost management and tracking within project

 Required Skills

·         Strong backround and interest in the automotive industry

·         3-5 years of experience in either designing of process equipment with potential to grow in a PM role or same amount of project experience

·         Knowledge in CAD systems

·         Knowledge of equipment safety requirements (OSHA)

·         Basic project management skills either as team Member or as project leader

·         Interest in process optimization and improvement

Preferred Skills

·         MS Project, SAP, Catia or similar

·         Programming automation background
