Looking for a individual who is ready to utilize their experience to contribute to the Commercial Finance Credit Underwriting Team at Siemens Financial Services. Your objective will be to prepare credit and rating reports and to make sound recommendations and credit decisions on prospective customers for products manufactured and sold by Siemens Operating Companies. You will report to the VP of Credit.
Analyze small and mid ticket transactions primarily in the Healthcare sector. Analysis will include financial assessment and risk ratings, debt capacity analysis, business plan assessment, sensitivity analysis, impact of documentation negotiations upon risk and other analysis as transactions dictate.
Review and interpretation of external rating agency reports.
Gather information from customers and industry sources with respect to proposed finance transactions.
Spread and analyze customer financial statements.
Prepare Credit and Risk Rating Reports.
Conduct in person and phone due diligence on prospective customers.
Conduct annual reviews for key accounts.
Maintain data integrity and compliance with company policy and procedures.
Communicate credit decisions to internal contacts.
Update and maintain customer information including financial information and lending limits.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
BA or BS degree in finance, business or related field.
10 + years of mid market credit underwriting experience in a commercial (non-consumer) environment with expertise in the Healthcare market.
Ability to work independently in completing the underwriting due diligence process.
Proficiency with MS Office applications.
Proficiency with financial spread tools and financial ratio analysis.
Strong technical writing skills.
- Travel requirement will be less than 5%.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Completion of formal bank or finance company training.
Experience in underwriting of tax exempt transactions.
