Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Investment Analyst’s primary role is to provide essential analytical support to senior team members for equity investments in energy projects in the Americas region.


Essential Job Functions (necessary to perform job):

-       Proficient in financial modeling (MS Excel)

-       Strong analytical and critical reasoning skills

-       Excellent communication and verbal skills

-       Ability to work in a team environment, with limited supervision and demonstrate initiative and tenacity completing tasks in a timely fashion

-       Willingness to travel occasionally, including international and on short notice.

  -    Basic understanding of the operation of US electricity markets and ability to quickly understand new markets in other jurisdictions



-       Support viability evaluation of investment targets

-       Support financial analysis components of investment due diligence process

-       Coordinate internal approval process and liaise with internal departments

 -   Maintain internal document repository and keep market intelligence data updated


Qualifications (include education):


-       Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or other quantitative field (MSc / MA preferred)


Other Qualifications:

-       Prior experience in Finance or Energy (Investment Banking or Private Equity internship at a minimum)

-       Energy and/or Power & Utilities sector knowledge useful but not strictly required

-     Experience with Latin America and/or Spanish/Portuguese language skills an advantage though not strictly required
