Siemens Intelligent Traffic Solutions
  
The Siemens ITS Customer Service business is currently searching for an experienced Field Supervisor to support our facility in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will execute financial performance and customer satisfaction of all related scope and functions of assigned accounts, plus the ability to identify, scope, and sell (independently or in a team) additional solutions to our customers. This is a first-line supervisory position and is responsible for managing Union Field Electricians and Service Technicians as well as other staffing needs.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage field operations for all assigned service customers, providing outstanding customer satisfaction and retention – ensuring customer expectations are met, leading quality assurance activities, and resolve customer issues in a timely, effective, and professional manner.
  • Support and provide assistance to the Service Project Manager Team in job take-off, estimating, customer demonstration(s) and performing site surveys.
  • Review Sales proposals for Service Contracts and Project proposals as well as labor related project estimates prior to customer proposal and booking.
  • Develop, implement, and execute labor and material plans for Service Contracts, Extras, T&M and Installed Service jobs that are aligned with Project Manager’s budgets.
  • Ensure project profitability through achieving plan gross margin levels.
  • Assist in monthly forecasting of customer accounts by updating project manager’s with current and planned construction/service activities to be completed by month end.
  • Maintain timely communications and relationships so that service project completion and turnover to service can be coordinated to avoid customer disruptions, maximizing profitability and ensuring a smooth transition to a service agreement.
  • Discuss and Review customer feedback with project managers to ensure service agreement retention and account growth goals are achieved (including add-on's, extras, upgrades, escalations, and timely renewals).
  • Responsible for direct supervision of field personnel including conducting employee performance appraisals, employee terminations and all union relations within the service territory.
  • Plan, organize, direct and control all service work with Project Managers, field resources, tools, equipment, and service project activities.
  • Supervise employees to ensure schedules are maintained and service work meets or exceeds customer expectations.  
Required Knowledge/Skills:
  • High School Diploma required.  3+ years’ experience as a Field Superintendent / Field Supervisor or similar field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in medium-large ($50K +) heavy civil projects including highway, road, and/or bridge projects with the ability to read Engineering drawings and maps
  • Strong organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to act as Team Player & Coach
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing.
  • Previous site management experience as well as experience maintaining a good relationship with the client and suppliers
  • Hands-on experience with directing the activities of contractors and crews for electrical, civil, settings
  • Given the proper tools and instruction, the Field Supervisor should be able to work with minimal supervision
