Job Description:

Position Overview

In this position, the Commodity Management Professional will be part of the Mobility Services Travel Management team within the Global Services Corporate Indirect Material Supply Chain Management Organization who will report to the Travel Management Regional Procurement Manager. In this role, you will serve as a primary travel management procurement contact for North America in collaboration with the meeting and event team, regional and global commodity management and the Supply Chain Management organization.



  • Responsible to develop and implement the Travel Management commodity strategies aligned with related technical solutions and services in collaboration with the regional & global category management teams
  • Analyze and coordinate efforts to develop and implement strategic initiatives and programs to drive savings, ensure traveler safety and comfort, optimize the supply base (national, regional and global), and achieve all related financial goals
  • Develop strategies, negotiate prices, terms and quality requirements with domestic, regional and international suppliers for airline, hotels and lodging strategy (with meetings/events), car rental and ground transportation, travel management company, and travel related and 3rd party services through contract execution
  • Implement standardized procurement report data and calculation methodologies across Americas in alignment with global Travel Management reporting
  • Manage supplier performance through service level agreements and KPIs and overall supplier relations
  • Interface with potential suppliers by clearly and professionally communicating Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and all necessary procurement and service related activities
  • Participation in cross functional team meetings. Pro-active involvement in relevant Mobility Service category projects.
  • Partner with corporate communications to effectively inform and engage travelers and stakeholders about key strategies and negotiated benefits
  • Provide support to Mobility Services Key Account Managers, key stakeholder and end-users by reporting target achievement progress in applicable tools/systems on a periodic basis
  • Interface with key support groups to resolve issues

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 5 or more years of experience in a related commodity management field for indirect materials (Ex: Travel Management, managed vendor programs, etc....)
  • Proven knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Management, Procurement Market Analysis (PMA), and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  • Excellent negotiation skills, including experience with large international companies
  • Experience in intercultural relations or within an international environment
  • Proven high level customer service orientation, teamwork, quality, and change orientation skills
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite
