Job Description:

Position Overview & Responsibilities

As an intern in the Wind Project Finance group, you will use your skills, experience & talents to:

 

Work within a team to help deliver monthly Cost Center forecasts using the various tools available

Support semi-complex accounting/financial activities such as preparation of journal entries

Opportunity to work with Project Mgmt, Engineers, Supply Chain, Logistics, & Financial Mgmt

Prepare financial & KPI reports in support of Wichita Tooling Center objectives

Monitor Cost Center actuals, review Capital budgets

Interact with other Siemens Gamesa entities

Assist with documentation for External & SOX Audits

Research and implement cost saving measures

Develop and document departmental procedures for improved efficiency

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

Current student working towards an Accounting or Finance degree (3.2 GPA or above & expected graduation date w/in 6-18 mths)

Basic understanding of Cost Accounting

Demonstrated leadership and decision making ability within a team environment

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to meet deadlines

Intermediate experience w/ Microsoft Office, w/ concentration on Excel / Excel formulas

Accuracy and attention to detail
