Siemens US Talent Acquisition

Position Overview

This Biochemist 2 position is at Walpole Technical Operations for the China manufacturing project. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to different Departments during and after the transfer of immunoassays to a new manufacturing site.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and carry out feasibility, characterization, verification, and validation studies
  • Work independently or in a team to investigate manufacturing issues for solutions
  • Design experiments, develop protocols, and write technical plans and reports
  • Analyze and present data, and troubleshoot to solve technical problems
  • Perform design and process changes.
  • Support DHF and risk file preparation
  • Collaborate with other team members and Departments for knowledge transfer and problem solving
  • The responsibility may change and grow as the project moves through different phases

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • BS in Medical Technology, Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Life Science or related fields
  • 6+ Years related experience
  • A good understanding of immunodiagnostic technology
  • Demonstrated capability of designing experiments, analyzing data, and troubleshooting
  • Able to prepare protocols and reports for technical studies
  • Experience in research and development or product support
  • Excellent written and communicational skills
  • Able to work in laboratories with serum and other biological fluids of human and animal origin
  • Strong work ethic
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment, switch priorities, and manage multiple assignments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Advanced degrees preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in protein chemistry and chromatography
  • Experience with immunoassays, including automated immunoassay analyzers, ELISA and chemiluminescent technology
