Job Description:

Position Overview
We are seeking a Business Operations Analyst II for the Siemens US Services Organization. This role proactively supports the USA-based Services team to ensure efficient and accurate administration of services projects and operations.  The Business Operations Analyst II will interact not only internally with Siemens PLM team members, management and executives, but also, with Siemens customers and suppliers. The Business Analyst II will report to the Program Manager under the particular Industry vertical. Under the general supervision from the Program Manager this role plans and designs business processes/tools and makes recommendations in order to improve and support business activities associated with the specific program office.  Utilizes systems and data to resolve business issues
in the most effective and productive manner.
  • Assist project and program managers to maintain current and accurate project information for financial and overall status tracking.
    • Assist with projects financial setup and validation in the corresponding systems
    • Assist with resource bookings setup and maintenance
    • Assist with time timesheets reconciliation and in association with projects
    • Assist with projects forecasting
  • Perform services billing and invoicing as appropriate and ensure compliance with Siemens PLM billing and revenue recognition guidelines.
    • Assist finance with accounts receivable (e.g. processing of invoices and purchase orders)
  • Maintain project data quality in Siemens PLM project administration tools
  • Prepare subcontractors accruals, project cost deferrals and any needed journal entries.
  • Drive general administration, revenue, billing, invoicing, and financial process consistency.
  • Provide requested information to support internal and external audit activities.
  • Assist with the review of customer-facing proposals or Statements of Work for compliance with PLM standards, especially the financial sections.
  • Assist with the definition and processing of Statements of Work for Siemens PLM sub-contractors.
  • Assist with the generation of Margin Estimators depending on the complexity of a project.
  • Assist the Program Manager with Program Team related activities that may be required.
  • Complete other duties and responsibilities that may be required.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting required
  • 3+ years of relevant education/work experience in Finance
  • 2+ years’ experience working with MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.),  OR SAP OR another type of Enterprise based system
  • Location:  Position is only available in Milford, OH
  • Proven track-record in critical analysis and the ability to deep dive into problems
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and administrative skills
  • Must have a good attitude and know how to make work enjoyable
  • Consistently dependable, self-motivated, flexible, and highly driven individual

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
  • Prior experience in managing budgets and cost center reporting and forecasting preferred
  • Formal Business Analysis experience preferred
  • Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Knowledge of NetSuite OpenAir, SFDC
  • Experience with consulting environment
