Product Portfolio Manager - Automation Americas International



Siemens Building Technologies Control Products and Systems business unit is looking for a Product Portfolio Manager with a focus on the Canadian and Latin American markets. The position will report to the Director and Segment Head of our Systems and Room Automation business and will be responsible for defining and implementing the strategic portfolio for these markets.  As a Product Portfolio Manager at Siemens Building Technologies, you are the entrepreneurial owner of your product portfolio. Working in a cross-functional world-class environment, you are responsible to identify and deliver a competitive range of products and services that leverage leading edge technologies that will shape the future of the building automation industry, and help to meet our business goals – create loyal customers, generate growth, and maximize return on investment.




        Develop business plans and product introduction plans for our products in Canada and Latin America.

        Represent the voice of the customer within the organization; understand the user experience, and the evolving needs and workflows of our customers, sales and building technology organizations in the international Americas region.

        Drive cross-functional activities related to training, documentation, tools, sales, marketing, and logistics for the international portfolio.

        Create and maintains pricing structures and price position, including ROI impacts.

        Provide sales and operations teams with channel-specific value propositions and technical expertise required to

        Work interactively with product management peers to drive your markets needs into local and global portfolios and package product portfolios appropriately for your markets.

        Stay abreast of new technology trends and how it impacts your markets

        Provide business forecasting for finance, supply chain and management



Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

        Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience

        An understanding building automation/industrial automation or related technical field.

        Experience in gathering and documenting requirements including user stories and wire-framing

        Proven strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex technology concepts simply and concisely

        Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the Unites States.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

        5+ years experience in Product/Portfolio Management

        Experience with Agile or SAFe teams as well as stage/gate development practices

        Multi-Lingual –Preferred Spanish, French &  Portuguese
