Job Description:

Position Overview:

·        Category Manager Modernizations & Upgrades

 

o   Product Market Readiness & Knowledge Ownership

§  Lead product familiarity of Mods & Ups, and at least basic understanding of O&M portfolio of products to enable customer facing Business Leads

§  Receive product hand-over from Mods & Ups owners; create, manage, update and tailor product marketing material

§  Validate market potential for Mods & Ups and refine targets based on technical and commercial potential; broaden the region-specific product range including in support for OOEM

§  Define product region-specific strategy; identify target customers; understand customer economics to include PPAs, fiscal planning cycles, preferred business approaches, competitors

§  Manage region-specific product pricing and provide feedback where cost improvements are needed for competitive offerings and define discounting/bundling strategies

§  Assist in sales forecasts and budget

 

o   Approvals support

§  Implement and maximize blanket approvals for Mods & Ups

§  Provide technical input for standard approvals on sales projects driven by business leads

 

o   Account Mgmt. Support

§  Support in the creation of customer meeting content where Business Leads or Account Managers will discuss the Mods & Ups for which you are responsible

§  Identify and bring on technical expertise from central functions and align their availability with account manager customer meetings including from Pre-Sales

§  Generate feasibility analysis for the implementation of the product considering customer and site specific conditions

 

o   Quotation Support

§  Provide baseline of cost inputs for quotation standards used by customer facing business leads

§  Be able to support in quote development and offer letters as needed

§  Participate in approval meetings, owned by account managers/proposals manager for product range

§  Conduct hand-over from Sales to Operations

o   Technical Aptitude

§  Strong Mods & Ups aptitude required as stated but not limited to below.

§  Mechanical Engineering or commensurate field experience with heavy lift, rigging, major components, drive train assemblies, cooling systems, ancillary equipment.

§  Electrical and Electronic Engineering or commensurate field experience with SCADA, DCS & controllers & controllers software, PLC, UPS, sensors, thermostats, converter systems, transformers, basic aerodynamics and power curve fundamentals
