Job Description:

Position Overview

 

Functions as part of a team of peers to provide technical and field support to persons engaged in the production and testing of radiopharmaceuticals. The goal of this support is to ensure maximum productivity and system Up Time while utilizing time and resource management techniques effectively. Performance will be in accordance with internal and external regulatory standards with a focus on meeting financial and performance targets.


Develops training materials and provides training in the following areas: chemistry module operation, maintenance and troubleshooting,  quality

control testing and radiopharmaceutical production.
Develops and maintains technical documentation related to chemistry modules, product testing as well as maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical equipment used for product testing.
Monitors and positively affects financial and operational performance.
Works in compliance with all regulatory standards including EH&S, cGMP, Radiation Safety, applicable pharmacy laws, DOT, internal policies, and interpretations of the above as required.
Responds to calls for technical support within a reasonable amount of time.
Participates in personnel training and staff development
Works cross functionally with engineering, manufacturing and all PETNET departments to successfully implement strategic initiatives.
Completes and submits tech support tickets in a timely fashion and includes all relevant details.
Completes and submits all time cards and expense reports in a timely fashion and includes all relevant details.
Available for on-call rotation to provide 24x7 support for PETNET production facilities, franchise customers and external customers.
Monitors and assists in improving up-time for all production and testing equipment.
Participates in complex inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting to support manufacturing and testing processes and equipment
Implements approved SOP changes to production and quality control processes

Responsibilities

 

Provides first-line technical support to field personnel for chemistry modules, process chemistry, production process, quality control equipment and associated software applications.

Performs complex compounding, manufacturing (cyclotron and chemistry module operation) and quality control processes(utilizing analytical equipment TLC, HPLC, GC, under supervision as required by State and Federal law

Identifies opportunities for efficiency in the production process

Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

 

Bachelor’s degree preferred. HS diploma or equivalent required. Specialized skill training/certification may be required. Excellent verbal, phone, and written communications skills are required. High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, and Thin Layer Chromatography experience are highly desirable. Technical knowledge of analytical quality control products is highly desirable.

Successfully demonstrates thorough/ advanced knowledge of a technical or specialty area. Generally, 5-8 years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
