Position Overview:


Join our dedicated team of professionals, in a technology driven journey to excellence in the centrifugal compressor industry. 

  • Timely and accurate production of 3D models, drawings, and Bills of Material to facilitate the manufacturing and production of turbo machinery components
  • Create 3D models and drawings of centrifugal compressor components
  •  Working with Product Design Engineers and incorporating company standards will be a necessary part of everyday duties  
  • High quality production drawings and Bills of Material are the key outputs of the detail drafter
  • An increase in part complexity and the ability to successfully manage these more complex drawings will see the entry level detail drafter advance to an upper level drafter
  • The detail drafter is a direct supplier to product checkers, product design engineers and other internal customers as needed
  • Deliver complete, accurate and professional detailed drawings, using 3D solid models
  •  Models and drawings will need to follow company and industry standards and specifications.
  • Correct interpretation of standards and specifications is expected
  • Utilize correct methods of structuring, modeling and sectioning within Unigraphics
  • Work directly with internal suppliers and customers, such as checkers, design engineers, supply chain management and others 
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a schedule based environment with aggressive deadlines
  • Ability to follow fit, form and function, as well as correctly apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) 
  • Recognize importance of mating parts and "footprint" limitations
  • Learn different product lines and develop expertise across multiple products

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: 

  • Technical Diploma or Associates Degree in CAD
  • 1-2 years of drafting experience
  • Proficiency in Unigraphics
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to translate technical information into basic understanding, and the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with a diversity of people at an individual and team level
  • Creativeness in solving problems
  • 3D solid modeling, UGNX, Microsoft applications and general manufacturing knowledge

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: 

  • 3-5 years of drafting experience
  • Insight, interest and drafting experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Centrifugal compressor drafting experience
  • Knowledge of production planning and a schedule based environment
  • 2 or more years of experience in a production and manufacturing environment
