Job Description:

 
Position Overview
As part of the Americas Simcenter Customer Support Management team, reporting to the Director, this position will manage a group of Application Support Engineers, to deliver high quality customer service for companies using STAR-CCM+.  
 
Responsibilities
  • Account assignment to individual team member as well as overall workload and priority setting. 
  • Provides technical guidance and oversight of work to ensure customer success. 
  • Manages personnel activities of staff (i.e. hires, trains, appraises, etc.).   
  • Will deliver direct support and own customer accounts, in part-time capacity. 
  • Demonstrated experience with effective case management and knowledge creation is essential.  
  • Will work with minimal supervision with complete latitude for independent judgment. 
  • Advanced knowledge of the field required. 
  • This position provides the entrepreneurial opportunity to establish a new team to provide maximum benefit to the customers and other support teams in the region.
 
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering with focus on computational methods and fluid dynamics
  • Minimum of 5 years’ work experience with Computational Fluids
  • Proven experience in providing customer application support
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities and tasks
  • Highly motivated, creative individual with demonstrated leadership ability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Work location:  Northville, MI

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
  • 5+ years of work experience with STAR-CCM
  • 0-3 years of prior management experience desired
