Job Description:

Position Overview


Reporting directly to the Molecular Imaging Director of Strategic Procurement, manage the cross-functional MI End of Life Process for PET, SPECT, Cyclotron, and Preclinical, ensuring product sustainability while minimizing cost impact.




·         Holistic management of the Molecular Imaging End of Life Process

·         Lead End of Life Core Team and Obsolescence Roadmap Team meetings (publish minutes)

·         Monitor and identify solutions for end of life parts/assemblies, assessing the combined demand of production, service and strategic forecasts

·         For critical actions, develop and present business cases for executive approval

·         Author last time buy requests and attain required approvals

·         Participate in cross-functional meetings, driving proactive measures to reduce last time buys and associated risks

·         Maintain and improve the End of Life Master List (database) and associated metrics, including inventory tracking for shortages or surpluses

·         Sourcing and implementation of new tools to improve the process (e.g. external solutions)

·         Manage last time buy component and assembly inventory (internal and external inventory) with Purchasing

·         Manage Product Change Notification Process with internal and external suppliers

·         Coordinate with Systems Engineering for Product Roadmap updates to verify adherence with last time buy inventory levels and run out dates

·         Interface with suppliers and commodity managers concerning component and assembly level end of life and last time buy issues

·         Manage last time buy contracts and special financing (e.g. alternative payment plans)


Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience


·         Bachelor’s degree

·         >10 years of proven experience in leading projects meeting both time and cost deliverables

·         Experience with electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical assemblies and parts (e.g. bills of materials, printed circuit boards, electrical components)

·         Strong Microsoft Excel and database skills

·         Ability to work individually and within a team environment with cross-functional partners at multiple locations, holding teams accountable

·         Good communication skills, with the ability to drive meetings both in person and online

·         15% domestic travel requirement, some international travel possible


Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience


·         Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Supply Chain Management

·         Master’s Degree

·         Strategic Procurement Experience

·         Database Design

·         SAP experience
