Siemens Energy Management is seeking top candidates for the role of Senior Business Development Manager (BDM) for eMobility Solutions & Services. In this role, the BMD will be instrumental in identifying, building and implementing new solutions in area of transport electrification. The BDM role will develop, manage, and leverage relationships with electric bus manufacturers, transit authorities, utilities, , Community Choice Aggregators (CCAs) and eMobility digital system partners. In addition the BDM will also support after sales solutions necessary for best-in-class asset operation and maintenance. The BDM will work with the existing market development, utility sales and construction sales teams to leverage the existing customer base, identify new potential customers while also addressing the growing channel of transport electrification specific organizations. The BDM will assist in the creation of strategic relationships with delivery partners to increase Siemens scope, flexibility, and cost competiveness. Specific to utilities & CCAs, the BDM will engage with program implementation & procurement teams on product qualifications, respond to RFI/RFPs, connect with partners, quantify costs with Operations, and assist in closing. The target candidate will have experience in performing business development a full range of services that range from business expertise involving customer management and planning and technical experience such as, start-up / testing services, power systems studies, , digital monitoring services, and financing. The role will have a high degree of independence and will offer an opportunity to help define new solutions not only for Siemens but for the overall Transport Electrification market.
· Development of new business potential with electric bus OEMs, transit authorities, cities and electric utilities throughout the Americas
· Identification, selection, and integration of new partners into the Siemens solution basket
· Assist in creation and execution of post sales support for critical customers and partnerships
· Ownership of multi-region customer pipeline
· Creating responses to complex customer service and solution requirements
· Coordination of sales activities with utility and construction organization
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
· Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related technical field (Advanced degree a plus)
· 8+ years of direct experience in business development, sales & marketing or an equivalent role in tech start-ups
· Working experience in electrical system design, startup, and/or testing
· Prior demonstrated experience in the design of new solutions and/or services
· Prior experience in transportation, eMobility, solar, wind, or storage industry
· Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix team environment
· Must be willing and able to travel up to 70%
· Must be eligible to work in the U. S. without the need for current or future sponsorship
