We are seeking passionate, and enthusiastic Technical Software Program Manager / Product Owner to join the software team at Siemens. Whether you want to work on some of the world's largest Industrial IoT systems,

This position within the Cloud services team represents a unique and rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor within a fast growing business and help shape future of business transactions. A successful candidate will bring deep technical and software expertise, as well as strong business acumen and customer obsession. Additionally, they have the ability to define visionary, ground breaking products based on customer needs, the desire to have an industry wide impact and ability to work within a fast moving, startup environment in a large company.

This opportunity requires excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Candidates should have experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional specifications and user stories, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets as well as analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection. The product management role is a broad one. We need business owners who can scale in perspective from strategic vision development with direct interaction with the senior leadership team to tactical product development and sales execution.

 

Siemens product and program managers are leaders who move quickly, with a focused determination to get things done, breaking down complex problems to make data-driven decisions that best serve customers. They are responsible for building business and pricing models, identifying bold moves to grow the business in current and adjacent markets, representing products to customers and executive leadership, and are the overall business owner of the product. The program manager component is responsible for timely and successful delivery of the system, anticipating bottlenecks, making tradeoffs, and welcoming an acceptable level of risk to maximize business benefit. We value product managers who want to sit with the developers and dig into the details as owners of the service where we define, develop, and

ship new services and features in periods in a continuous delivery model.

Requirements

•BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience (MBA is a strong plus)

•3+ years of relevant work experience in Program Management

•2+ years of coding experience in Python, Java, C++, Perl, or comparable language

•Experience with cloud services in an agile development context

•Experience coordinating complex product development cycles and software development schedules

•Superior verbal and written communications skills with high attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications

•Ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often everchanging environment, with attention to detail and organizational skills

•Analytical acumen, and comfort generating and evaluating various forecasts, metrics, and analyses.

•Experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule and deploy new features sets

•Ability to proactively identify upcoming risks, issues, and bottlenecks and resolve issues that sometimes cross departmental boundaries

•Excellent time management, resource management and planning skills

•Ability to interface with internal and external customers of varying technical abilities

Preferred Skills

•Design thinking and business modelling experience

•Broad technical breadth and depth including web services and back-end application infrastructure
