Position Overview

The Siemens Industry – Food & Beverage Vertical is searching for a National Account Manager (NAM) to aggressively expand our footprint within key Food, Beverage, and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) customers and the associated supply chain.  As an executive sales professional the NAM will be viewed as a “best in class” account manager who will lead Siemens into the next decade of success with our every expanding Digital Enterprise portfolio.

In this role you will act as the CEO for your assigned account portfolio including setting the corporate account strategy and ensuring effective execution in alignment with annual sales goals and objectives.  This is a key role within the Siemens Food, Beverage, & CPG team and is responsible for both US domestic business as well as influenced revenue generated offshore through the execution of corporate specifications defined by you at the customer’s US headquarters.  This individual will need to be accustomed to working with a CRM tool for account planning, opportunity tracking, financial tracking /forecasting, and overall account coordination.  Candidates for this role must have experience working with extended teams across a diverse geography.  This position reports to the Director of Vertical Markets for Food, Beverage, and Consumer Packaged Goods.



Provide internal guidance to achieve revenue objectives at key accounts (penetration of account with products/solution/service offerings).  Leverage Siemens global reach to maximize specification status and influence decisions on global projects.  Guides the development and execution of strategic account plans to ensure achievement of assigned business goals.  Develops / builds / cultivates long-term relationships with key contacts within the customer organization.  Assist management in devising sales plans and strategies.  May form account teams and coordinate market activities while maximizing ROI through associated sales revenue.  Will lead team reviews and update account plans based on changing market, customer conditions, and competitive activity. 


Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:

·       5+ years of successful sales experience in Industrial Manufacturing

·       Experience operating in a quota based sales position.

·       History of meeting/exceeding sales quota through the capture of new business

·       Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

·       Automation, Drives, MES, and PLM Experience

·       Value Add / Solution Selling

·       Executive Level Communication & Presentation Skills

·       Team Leader experience

·       Travel: 30%


Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:

·       BS in Engineering preferred.

·       Selling automation solutions, PLM, &/or MES to the Food, Beverage, CPG industry
