Position Overview

Are you a natural problem solver looking for a company that can help drive your career?  Siemens Building Technologies is looking for an energetic Sales Administrator to support the sales team at our Portland office.  This position works with technical teams to provide the knowledge, resources, and tools that help Siemens deliver exceptional quality service to our clients. Your customer centric attitude and ability to communicate clearly and assertively to all levels will be key to this busy and varied role.

Primary areas of focus:

·         Sales Assistance: promote a high quality customer experience by supporting proposal creation, organizing customer events, and managing customer surveys

·         Administrative Assistance: Provide exceptional administrative assistance to the team under the direction of the sales manager and office manager.

·         Culture Ambassador:  Take initiative to guard and promote our ownership culture by encouraging a trusting, respectful, and friendly atmosphere 

Key activities:

·         Establish links and develop trusting and influential relationships with key personnel within client organizations 

·         Manage the customer survey process to ensure we are achieving our high standards for customer satisfaction

·         Organize excellent customer events that appropriately reflect our brand standards

·         Support request for proposal (RFP) development and the development of marketing collateral

·         Enter sales orders onto the customer relationship management (CRM) system

·         Train and orient new team members with CRM and sales workflow

·         Monitor and analyze dashboards, metrics and analytics for sales

·         Document decisions, policies and findings for multiple audiences


Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information’s Systems, Marketing, Communications, or similar.

·         Driven and self-motivated with good influencing and negotiating skills

·         Ability to adapt and operate in a dynamic environment, using your commercial and financial awareness to aid your day to day delivery of tasks critical to the success of our team

·         Experience with Systems Applications Products (SAP), Excel, Word, Access databases strongly preferred

·         Required travel: 5%


Other requirements:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to work in the U.S. without a need for current or future sponsorship.
    • Must have a valid driver's license in good standing.
