Job Description:

The Marketing Manager, Cardiology Ultrasound is responsible for tactical marketing aspects of cardiology ultrasound products in the North American market (NAM).  This includes the analysis of the market and creation and execution of all direct-to-customer marketing programs for a defined segment using and adapting global product messages or creating new segment messaging as needed.  It also includes communication regarding campaigns, programs and pricing to internal audiences.  The role captures several other key aspects of marketing management, including positioning for all ultrasound products sold into the target segment and for communicating NAM customer product requirements back to the Business Unit to ensure products are developed for the NAM customer.
 
The Marketing Manager, Cardiology Ultrasound will also own the customer lifecycle, develop programs and communicate to deepen the relationship with customers, create additional sales opportunities for Service and Clinical Applications, manage segment marketing spend.
 
This role reports to the Sr. Director Marketing, Ultrasound for Siemens Healthineers.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive marketing and tactical plans
  • Cultivate and maintain a strong customer-centric approach
  • Lead new product introduction plans on a regional basis
  • Maximize positioning for all Cardiovascular products
  • Analyze market segments, product, pricing, volume sales, product mix
  • Develop promotions and campaigns to drive bookings and revenue
  • Support RFP process for New Products, GPOs, IDNs, Government
  • Develop and deliver content for new hire and ongoing training
  • Support MarComms in developing and executing various brand communication initiatives
  • Lead creation of pricing structures, price positions, and sales promotions, including ROI impact
  • Integrate voice of customer into product requirement profile and provide input to R&D
  • Identify and develop Key Opinion Leader relationships
 
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
  • Understanding of classical product management and ability to effectively position and message brands
  • Advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of downstream marketing management
  • Must have experience in medical capital equipment, ultrasound, cardiology equipment or devices
  • Knowledge of the medical capital equipment sales process
  • Ultrasound marketing, clinical or sales background preferred
  • Interventional cardiology marketing experience
  • Skills on how to drive demand in the capital equipment market
  • Ability to handle objections by creating persuasive arguments to drive projects or influence customers
  • Proficiency in various computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent written, presentation and oral communication skills
  • Strong intra-organizational skills to effectively navigate through a matrix structure
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and strategic thinking
  • Capacity to manage cross functional initiatives
  • Relentless customer focus
  • Must be able to travel 40% or more as required
  • 5+ years in healthcare marketing role
  • Demonstrated experience working in a matrix organization
  • Live in the Malvern (Greater Philadelphia Area) area (or willing to relocate)

  • Expand/leverage KOLs to drive sales/penetrate target segments
  • Grow share in Routine Echo, Structural Heart Disease and Electrophysiology segments
  • Plan launches integrating cross-functional partners; Launch products with excellence
  • Develop customer relationships
 
Education:
 
BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
