Job Description:

PD DE Sales Specialist


The main role of the sales specialist is to develop and grow the share of digital business in a Siemens’ regional sales organization.

To achieve this goal, the sales specialist must enable and support his local sales organization to bring Siemens’ PD digitalization solution and portfolio to customers.

Additionally, the sales specialist will accompany customers along their digitalization transformation to ensure a sustainable partnership and business.



Sales Specialist Tasks


         Presentation of the Siemens Digital Enterprise (DE) strategy and the Siemens DE portfolio for industrial companies, interest groups, universities, external consultancies, etc.

         Serves and develop agreed target accounts on Digitalization

         Support for distribution of complex customer requirements across complex business units

         Recognize the customer's digital enterprise requirements and derive business opportunities for Siemens

         Implementation of digitalization assessments for defined target customers

         Review, select, develop and support of digitalization opportunities coming from the sales organisation

         Support and co-ordination of the sales force in the creation of offers for DE systems and solutions

         Creation of complex technical solutions for customer requirements

         Support CDL and Management for the Regional DE strategy implementation

         Organization and implementation of DE activities in the country

         Support the sales force in the identification of potential new customers

         Close cooperation with the business units of the PL organization and the parent company

         Creation of training concepts and implementation of DE trainings throughout the Lead Country Bundle



Expected Competences

         Completed technical training: Bachelor of Eng. or University of Applied Sciences Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Information Technologies or Automation Engineering

         At least 5 years of professional experience with Sales related responsibilities

         Expertise in at least one of the following subjects:

o    Automation technology

o    Information Technologies

o    Mechatronics

o    Process Engineering

o    Network technology / Security

         Enthusiasm for new technologies in the context of industry 4.0

         Very good knowledge of English

         Good communication and presentation skills (internal and external)

         Structured way of working

         Teamwork as well as initiative and commitment

         Flexibility to travel

         Enjoy working with customers

         Competent and serious appearance
