Job Description:

The Head of Creative Services leads the ‘internal agency’ function, providing full-service, multi-channel marketing communications deliverables in support of Siemens Healthineers external and internal programs and initiatives.  Creative Services comprises brand guideline governance, graphic design, digital design, copy writing, and production.


This individual has to be creative-minded with enhanced experience in digital design and execution via multiple channels. As well as experience in managing a creative team.  This position reports to the head of North America Marketing and Communications.


·         Manage team of individual contributors and contractors to include digital media, graphic design, and copy writing

·         Provide strategic and creative counsel on the design, branding and execution of marketing materials

·         Consult with internal stakeholders across the organization to drive brand alignment and increase effectiveness of marketing campaigns and materials

·         Work collaboratively with internal teams to develop creative solutions to meet business goals and objectives

·         Network with stakeholders across the organization to demonstrate and elevate department value

  • Serve as brand guidelines expert and ambassador; provide training to internal and agency stakeholders, as required

·         Align with global colleagues on the most current brand guidelines, tools and best practices

·         Evaluate and assign jobs; serve as key escalation point for project prioritization

·         Evolve the creative quality, scope of services, and team productivity

·         Manage department budget; ensure compliance and transparency with financial processes


Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a design related field or relevant design experience

·         8-10 years of progressive design experience in a design agency or corporate creative department , including creative team management

  • Must be highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, PPT

·         Must demonstrate strong team leadership, with the ability to coach and collaborate on current industry knowledge and design trends

  • Ability to work well in a highly-matrixed organization; experienced in collaborating and working professionally with colleagues, peers, stakeholders and management to share knowledge and best practices
  • Leverage industry knowledge and relationships to implement innovative approaches to design
  • Develop an understanding of key marketing business objectives
  • Must have ability and willingness to lead group discussions around projects to collaborate on ideas, designs, and to obtain and give feedback
  • Must work well under pressure and tight deadline, and have the ability and knowledge to prioritize
  • Excellent planning, organizational and interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in project management, budget management and marketing campaign execution
  • Full  knowledge of print production
  • Must have the ability/willingness to travel (independently) both domestically and internationally
  • Experience in healthcare preferred
