Manage all orders and projects documentation requirements according to the Siemens and the customer requirements following factory capabilities and corporate guidelines. This position would also enter new orders as received from Customers, Sales and Business Developers. This position would also include the order entry of Traction motors and gear orders as they are being released to buy. Manage order for the MLFB and USS program. Some light Admin/Clerical duties may be required on a as needed basis. The orders would support business from customers for large electric motors built in Norwood, Ohio, for the Chemical, Oil & Gas, Mining, Power and similar industrial users. Success requires excellent communication skills, the ability to learn and perform the above duties in a timely manner dictated by the business needs. Must be able to learn and perform management processes, thrive in a matrix organization, and partner with customers, sales channels, and internal departments to manage the information flow among all internal and external stakeholders.
Send documentation to customers/sales on a daily basis to support the Order Managers and Project Managers team.
Track the document submittals so that they are sent out in a timely manner within 24 hours of receipt from Engineering.
Order entry process for new orders will include reviewing PO’s with Quotes, specs for initial clean order process prior to entry and communicating the issues back to sales or the cusotmers. This will include all orders for Customers to support the ANEMA business and the Traction Mobility business. This may entail some after hour efforts on the last day of each fiscal month end.
Keep and maintain the daily booking log of new orders and submit daily to management throughout the facility.
Enter and Manage the Category 1 and 2 motor orders (MLFB and USS).
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Have or quickly gain knowledge about electric motor order management to include: Product options, customer requirements, and Siemens guidelines and procedures.
Simultaneously support multiple orders and customer requirements for document submittals.
Support sales activities and build/maintain both internal and external customer relationships.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated strong time management skills
Detail oriented. Able to review product characteristics to identify specific traits and create accurate documentation based on reviewed data
A high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and related software is required. Beneficial (not initial requirement): SAP, MS Access, MS Project experience
The candidate must be self-motivated and have experience in working in a corporate environment. Adherence to timelines, schedules and deliverables is a critical competency .
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
High School diploma required or College BA/BS in Business is preferred.
A high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and related software is required. Beneficial (not initial requirement): SAP, MS Access, MS projects.
