I. Basic Function
Leads and manages the execution of SBT and Division sales and service operational activities for a single Branch location. May also oversee the sales and service operations for other SBT locations/branches. Deploy and motivate staff to achieve sales, installation and/or service delivery activities. Assures that, at branch level, personnel appropriately leverage available SBT resources; such as finance & business administration, procurement, human resources, legal, division resources and Field Operations Standards / Business Excellence. Engages and motivates sales, service operations and support functions in successful development, execution and results achievements. Develops and maintains personal contact with new and current major customers at the executive level to maximize opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.
II. Essential Duties
Collaborates with Area and Zone management regarding branch strategies, plans, performance and other pertinent conditions Assist management in the development and execution of SBT strategy and horizontal synergy plans at the branch level. Lead implementation of Business Target Agreements at the branch level including sales forecast, annual budget, profit plan, cost control, asset management plan and other financial deliverables.
Is responsible for achievement of all SBT divisions strategic and financial goals for the Branch. Contributes towards performance of Area business target agreements and plans including sales forecast, annual budget, profit plan, cost control, asset management plan and other financial deliverables based on division goals and objectives. Approves or escalates any sales opportunity with a gross margin outside of guidelines in accordance to established policies. Will implement the SBT and division sales and operations solutions and services programs, Workflow Standards, Top+, best practices and other initiatives.
Manage workforce utilization planning for sales, operations and support functions to ensure effective staffing for current and future business needs. Advise employees on developing business and implementing sales and operations plans.
Develops and maintains personal contact with new and current major customers to maximize opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction and provide support for current and future projects or service contracts. Foster profitable growth through definition and implementation of team-selling strategies that expand SBT business with existing customers and/or penetrate new accounts.
Maintains and ensures that the Branch location is committed to customer and employee satisfaction and profitable growth. Ensures local sales and service operations management team is accountable and provides for employee development through the ongoing Siemens Performance Management Process (PMP). Engages and motivates Branch teams focus on goals and objectives achievement. Will work through appropriate Human Resource and company channels to provide the tools, training, and work environment that are necessary for Branch employees to be successful.
Ensures compliance with all federal and local rules and regulations applicable to the geographic area as well as all company policies and procedures. Acts as a company representative and liaison to customers and local authorities to capitalize on local market opportunities, foster successful relationships and positive SBT public image. Teams with other operating companies to provide total customer solutions in Siemens products and services.
III. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
8-10 years in sales and operations management with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and direct personnel toward achievement of a common goal. Excellent negotiation, verbal and written communication skills are required to interact with customers, vendors and employees. Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and manage the dynamics of a P&L. Technical and/or business licenses or registrations as required by geographic area. Frequent travel required.
Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing
Individual must be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan
