Team Software Architect (m/w)

The Process Industries and Drives Division is a reputed global provider of future-proof automation and drive technology, industry software and services based on innovative technology platforms. Your new role – challenging and future-oriented


  • Design and realization of core components of the new architecture

  • Strategic development of internal and external APIs

  • Exert architectural guidance and governance in your development team

  • Collaborate in cross-functional and globally distributed teams of architects, developers, and product owners

  • Coach and mentor your team

  • Involve yourself into technical discussions

  • Actively scout and identify new technologies for use within the architecture and platform

  • Align with product owners, UX experts and business owners

  • Develop prototypes for internal review and brainstorming

  • Realize architectural feasibility studies


Your qualifications – solid and appropriate


  • Master or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • 6+ years of experience in the design and implementation of enterprise applications with 3+ years of experience as an architect (certification as software architect is an advantage)

  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering in various frameworks and languages (e.g., Java, NodeJS, AngularJS, Python)

  • 3+ years of experience with implementation of microservice applications

  • 3+ years of experience with PaaS infrastructures (e.g., AWS, CloudFoundry)

  • Extensive experience with agile methods, continuous delivery and test driven development

  • Extensive knowledge in architecture as well as design principles and patterns

  • Strong analytical capabilities

  • Results orientation
