Job Description:

The Network and Security Infrastructure Team is responsible for

architecting, delivering, securing and supporting the global

infrastructure within the following core functions:  LAN/WAN/WLAN,

Internet, Remote Access, Firewalls, Proxy, DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM), NAC

(Network Access Control), Business Partner Access and Cloud based

Networking implementations. 


The Network and Security Infrastructure Team is distributed across all 

global regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC) and operates a follow-the-sun 

support model providing global 24x7 advanced level support for Network 

and Security Infrastructure technologies; acting as the escalation point for 

the Operations Hotline Support Centre, the Software Development 

Organization, Local Desktop Support Teams and other IT Infrastructure and 

Applications Support areas.


The Lead Network and Security Infrastructure Engineer should be able to perform the

following essential activities:

• Provide technical leadership and direction for the global Network and

Security Infrastructure team with a focus on Cisco LAN/WAN/WLAN

technologies

• Act as Lead Network Engineer, operating all Network Infrastructure

within major Data Center

• Lead new technology evaluations and implementations

• Provide technical direction for Cloud connectivity initiatives

• Installation, maintenance, and support of global Network and Security

Infrastructure device system software and hardware

• Analytics, troubleshooting and resolution for complex Network and

Security Infrastructure issues including on premise and cloud

environments

• Provide Network and Security Infrastructure leadership for all other

IT functions and end-users

• Technically lead projects and tasks within the Network and Security

Infrastructure function

• Administer the application of company data security policies

• Serve as a liaison to vendors and other third party providers

• Make recommendations for improving system performance and up time

 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience

• 8 + years’ experience in Network and Security technologies

• Expert in Cisco route/switch - LAN/WAN/WLAN technologies

• Vast knowledge of Network and Security cloud technologies and

providers

• Experience with: Remote Access (SSL VPN), Firewalls, Proxy Servers,

DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) and NAC (Network Access Control)


Personal Attributes:

• Ability to handle major problems and respond professionally to senior

management and customers

• Organizational awareness and understanding of how service stability

can be maximized through leveraging technology and process enhancements

• Can identify the specific functions, responsibilities, key customers

and relationships of own department/function
