Global Digital Marketing Center (GDMC)
Global Marketing Operations
Reporting to the Director of Marketing Operations for Siemens PLM Software and working closely with the Business Operations Analyst, the Marketing Operations Intern will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of marketing projects with a broad range of global marketing professionals and sales executives.  Experience in this role will contribute to the development of strong organizational and analytical skills, long-term career goals, and a roadmap for achieving them.
  • Responsibilities of the Marketing Operations Intern will span the following:
    • Support reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) and marketing financials
      • Provide support for maintaining the Marketing Operations Reporting Framework (MORF) to validate that the marketing investment (marketing spend and headcount) aligns with the revenue expectations and growth opportunities by country, zone and industry as defined in the 5 year country plans.  Analyze data anomalies and assist with developing strategies for attaining alignment.
    • Champion the Competitive Market Research (CMR) project
      • Build upon market research conducted by previous interns to expose strengths and opportunities for improving the Siemens PLM Software marketing organization, messaging, channels to market, brand image, social media presence, and recruiting processes.  Suggest additional topics to investigate, broaden research to cover more competitors, share impressions of findings and make suggestions for improvements to marketing and HR management.
    • Improve employee engagement
      • Support the management of the Marketing Recognition Program and the Marketing Employee Development Plan to continuously improve employee skill sets and align with industry best practices.  Manage the annual nomination, winner selection, and winner announcement processes for awards within the Marketing Recognition Program.  Assist with managing the Marketing Employee Development Plan, including processing nominations, enrollments, and driving completion of SiriusDecisions online training courses.
    • Contribute to ad-hoc Marketing Operations projects
      • Provide essential support for planning and executing various Marketing Operations projects as agreed upon with management. 

         
         
Organization Requirements:
  • Relevant course work in marketing or business strongly preferred
  • Highly organized and able to coordinate and pursue multiple efforts simultaneously
  • Rapid learner with strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Highly motivated, creative, persistent and a self-started who is adept at coordinating and communicating with a wide variety of individuals
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to create custom reports
  • Experience developing reports in Tableau is a plus
